CTAN Update: AutoLaTeX
Date: December 24, 2013 7:57:28 PM CET
Stéphane Galland submitted an update to the
AutoLaTeX
package.
Version number: 28.0
License type: gpl
Summary description: Major feature enhancements and bug fixes.
Announcement text:
The translator from SVG+layers to PDF is fixed to not create images that are too large for LaTeX lengths. In the previous versions, Inkscape was used to generate an EPS file which is converted to PDF, but in some cases, graphical elements are lost in the PDF file. To avoid this problem, Inkscape is now directly generating the PDF files. AutoLaTeX is now able to output detailled warnings on the CLI. This feature may be enabled with the '--Wall' command line option. Major bugs are fixed: the string encoding when invoking system commands (exec, system, etc.), the enabling state of the Gedit's components.
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/support/autolatex/ More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/autolatex We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html .
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Petra Rübe-Pugliese

AutoLaTeX – Automate compilation of large scale LaTeX projects
AutoLaTeX is a tool for managing small to large LaTeX documents. It simplifies the process of producing PDF files or viewing documents by tracking file changes and automating the execution of required programs. One of AutoLaTeX’s best features is its translator rules (also known as translators), which automatically generate drawings for inclusion in the PDF from various source formats such as SVG and GNU Plot.
