      <pre>Nicola Talbot has uploaded a new version of the glossary package:

The package supports generation of a glossary with makeindex. It has
a certain amount of flexibility allowing the user to customize the
format of the glossary and define new glossary-style objects so that
you can have more than one type of glossary in your document.

&gt; Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
&gt; ----------------------------------------------------------------------
&gt; Version 2.4:
&gt;
&gt; Fixed problems caused by \@sanitize (\storeglosentry is now robust).
&gt;
&gt; Extended package option "number" to be used with any counter (not
&gt; just page or section).
